Because you are BOLD
Βecause you are Colour.....

HEY I AM MAMISSA!
- A Creator
- A Humanitarian
- A Mother
- A Change Maker
They call me the Queen of Colour. I am a multi-faceted influencer, content creator and founder of thecolourmemam. Based in Geneva, I am one of Switzerland’s largest influencers and credited for my lack of fear in wearing the boldest of colours and encouraging women to do the same. But, wearing colour goes beyond what one sees on the surface; there is a deeper meaning to what wearing colour represents.
SO WHATS IN THE NAME?
“TheColourMeMam” represents a confident woman who stands up for herself and others. She is ready to break boundaries. She is not afraid to stand out. She lives by the words “Be bold, Be fierce, Be unique , Be colour“.
TheColourMeMam can achieve anything she wants and be whoever she wants to be and NO ONE can stop her.

” Be bold and fight for injustice. Don’t be afraid to speak the truth. Fight for yourself and fight for others. Be the TRUTH.”
My Story,Journey and Blogging
I was born in The Gambia,West Africa, Africa’s smallest mainland country. My parents worked for the United Nations and hence, I spent my childhood and teenage years growing up in many different countries and attending numerous international schools. This played a substantive role in creating the international, diverse, inquisitive, and explorative persona that I hold today. I moved to Geneva, Switzerland in 2007 and found my home. I have an undergraduate degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Rights Law from The University of New Hampshire in the USA. I have hence always had a two-sided personality.
The one side is intellectual, as a manager and as a humanitarian to the United Nations. Then there is the creative part of me – the content creator. Growing up, there’s always been that personality clash growing up, but now I believe I have the perfect balance. I am a humanitarian, and I am a content creator. Why should we women have to be forced by societal norms to conform to being a certain way? I reject this! I say we can be whoever we want to be!
I am a CHANGEMAKER
